The rules
Rank is money, full stop
The board is sorted by current bid, high to low. Nothing else moves you up — not clicks, not age, not how good your pitch is. Just the number.
You can only boost your own listing
You can't buy someone else's spot out from under them directly. What you can do is boost your own listing: the "Claim this rank" price shown is always $1 more than whoever's sitting directly above you in your category, so paying it takes their spot outright — they (and everyone below them) simply slide down one place. Existing listings never get a discount on this: moving up costs the full price for the rank you're taking, no matter what you already paid to get where you are.
No refunds — none, ever
Every dollar you put in is gone the moment it's in, whether you hold the top spot for a year or get outbid ten minutes later. There are no exceptions: not if a payment settles for a rank that's already gone by the time it lands, not if you double-pay by accident. BidRank isn't an escrow or a middleman — you're paying for a rank, not for a guaranteed outcome, and that payment is final the instant it clears.
No ads
There's no separate ad unit to buy. The board is the ad space. That's what the bids are for.
No accounts
There's no login. The email link you get after paying is the only way back in to edit your listing, boost it, or mark it sold. Lose it and you can ask us to resend it to the email you submitted with — from the listing's edit page.
